Giving Back with the Garces Foundation: Free Dental Clinic in Philadelphia

At Noble Dental Group, providing excellent dental care is only part of our mission. We believe that a healthy community starts with access — access to care, to resources, and to professionals who genuinely want to help. That’s why we’re proud to be active partners with the Garces Foundation, a Philadelphia-based nonprofit dedicated to serving the city’s immigrant population through healthcare, education, and essential support services.

Our partnership with the Garces Foundation is one of the most meaningful things we do as a practice. It’s a chance to step outside our offices and show up for neighbors who need us most.

Community Health Days: Care at Scale

Four times a year, the Garces Foundation hosts Community Health Days, dedicated events that deliver vital health and dental services to Philadelphia’s immigrant communities. Nearly every doctor across all three Noble Dental Group practices gives their time on these days, and the impact is real and measurable. Our doctors attend 4-6 events per year and see about 50 patients per event.

On Community Health Days, patients receive a wide range of services — all completely free of charge:

If a procedure can’t be completed on the day itself, patients have options. They can schedule a follow-up appointment at any Noble Dental Group location during the week and receive the service at 50% off, ensuring that care doesn’t stop when the event does.

The Sonrisa Program: Ongoing Dental Care for the Underserved

Beyond our quarterly Community Health Days, Noble Dental Group is also proud to support the Garces Foundation Sonrisa Program, a community-centered dental initiative that provides routine checkups, preventive care, restorations, and emergency dental care to patients who often lack dental insurance, either free of charge or at a significantly reduced cost.

The Sonrisa Program is hosted at Race Street Dental Care and is powered by the incredible generosity of volunteer dental professionals, including Dr. Szabo and Dr. Isleem, who dedicate their time and skills to make this program possible. Their commitment is a reminder of why we all got into dentistry in the first place — to help people.

Race Street Dental Care hosts the clinics. If you or someone you know could benefit from these services, we encourage you to spread the word. Call Race Street Dental at 215-372-8625 to participate in the Sonrisa Program.

Why This Partnership Matters

Across the United States, millions of adults go without dental care each year — not because they don’t want it, but because they can’t afford it or don’t know where to turn. For immigrant communities in particular, navigating the healthcare system can feel overwhelming. The Garces Foundation bridges that gap, and we are honored to stand alongside them in doing so.

At Noble Dental Group, we don’t just treat patients, we invest in the neighborhoods we serve. Our team shows up, volunteers their expertise, and builds real relationships with the people who walk through the door on these clinic days. That’s what community dentistry looks like in practice.

Get Involved

Are you a dental professional interested in volunteering? Or a community organization looking to connect your members with care? We’d love to hear from you. Together, we can make quality dental care accessible to everyone in Philadelphia.
